Rachel Ray in Q&A
Rachel Ray? Have you ever made one of rachel ray's 30 minute meals ?If so what was the dish and was it good? Just wondering if I should waste my time on a dish I saw her make on Oprah the other day(vodka cream pasta) Thanks and waht were the dishes that you made???

achef22 replied: "no !!!rachel ray is terrible as a pro chef i can tell you nothing made in 30 min is good food comes from love from the heart if you take your time it will taste fantastic, there are many recipes that are easy that u can make but they are not 30 min good luck ."

Sue M replied: "Yes, I have 2 of her books and the few things I have tried came out well."

tdm1175 replied: "She has alot of good recipes that have been helpful being a single mom of 3 toddlers. And my kids appear to like it too."

emily replied: "Rachel Ray doesn't stop moving her hands or stop talking so i've never could pay attention to what she cooks. LOL!!!"

tasha replied: "i love Rachel Ray!! I use her book, i think it is called, 365, no repeats or something like that, all the time!! Try the dish!!"

Rica_Venia replied: "She has great recipes but I have never tried any because I think many of them takes more than 30 minutes."

najaythechosen1 replied: "YEAHI MADE ONE OF HER DISHES ABOUT A YEAR OR SO AGO IT WAS GOOD BUT IT DIDNT TAKE ME 30 MIN!!!! I JUSS HATE WHEN SHE OVER USE THE WORD "EVOO" LOL"

oneporkchop replied: "I love rachel ray! I've made lots of her 30 minute meals. I have all of her cookbooks. I really like lemon pepper chicken tenders. It is in her book " get togethers ""

Sugar PIe replied: "Yes, I made her Meatloaf Muffins. Rather thana big hunk of meatloaf, she put them into muffin tins so they baked quicker. Very tasty. Sorta a BBQ flavor. I'd make nearly anything by Rachael Ray before I'd make anything Sandra Lee (Semi-Homemade Cooking) does. (Sandra Lee's Lasagna is outstanding, but the rest? no thanks!)"

slimfan007 replied: "Yah, she was some pretty good dishes."

newsgirlinos2 replied: "I made the asperigus and shallots today.....RAVE!!!! I really like RR and I have made many of her dishes. More importantly I have taken the 30 minute concept into my brain! 1) use fresh ingredients. 2) chop veggies small so they cook quick 3) use good cuts of meat so they can cook quick and not be tough! 4) use strong fresh flavors. A Few of my favorites: Chicken & blood oranges Skirt Steak & Shallots Fried Napa Cabbage I haven't had a failure yet! And, If I am not talking up a storm like she does...most meals only take 20 minutes to prep and cook....LoL!"

tonyagc23 replied: "I made one. It was the rice crispy sushi rolls. It's on her show today also. I thought it was fun and my daughter loved them. We made them for a Halloween treat last year."

mkfreedom2006 replied: "i use alot of her recipes i love her show on food network i can't say there has been one my family didn't love so please try it the recipes are worth it and so quick and easy"

4wheelmomma replied: "I made that vodka cream pasta last night for supper--first time I had been in a liquor store for at least 10 years. I needed 1 cup of vodka so I got the cheap kind (11.00) 375ml as I wasn't sure if I was making 1 batch or 2. I made it with fettuccine noodles instead of the kind that was on the recipe. It was good but 1 batch is plenty-probably feeds 8 adults. It is fairly easy to make but you need to cook the onions, garlic, and tomato stuff in a large pot rather than a frying pan. My hubby would probably like it. I will probably make it again. It tastes much better if you have warm garlic bread with it."

Rachel Ray wore a black dress with gold dragons on her magazine cover in Dec 08. Who is the designer? The magazine is call Everyday with Rachel Ray. I really want to buy this dress! It was a typo. I meant to say 07.

EmiLLiO replied: "december 08? we are still in march 08. and if it was last year or years before, there is practically no chance in finding it. sorry to tell you so :["

TheTruthHurts replied: "the dress is made by Nieves Lavi here is the dress: "

Who can throw down in a kitchen Rachel Ray or Paula Deen? I would like to see Rachel Ray & Paula Deen go toe to toe in the kitchen on the Food Network & raise money from some sort of charity.I would donate 1,500 dollars to Paula Deen & the charity she will be sponsoring. So who will you chose?

free :) replied: "P D would have that on lock down."

*Nick*Jo*Fo*Sho* replied: "paula deff! a georgia girl knows how to throw down in the kitchen! ;)"

BLUE ORCHID replied: "Paula will kick Rachel's butt!"

cutie replied: "paula"

Texas Butterfly replied: "Paula for sure anytime!!"

Goblin g replied: "There are two totally different schools of thought on this question. It would depend as to which type of cooking style one prefers. Rachael Ray cooks a variety of different styles, while Paula Deen stays traditionally to Southern charm. This being said, my own preference is Paula Deen. Have a lovely rest of the day. Happy Eating!"

TX2step replied: "They've both been on Iron Chef America, teamed with one of the Iron Chefs, already ... although Rachel Ray was teamed with Mario Batoli against Guida and Bobby Flay ......... If you watch Rachel Ray and Paula Deen, you'll know that their style of cooking is totally different and couldn't be compared to each other. Rachel Ray might be better against Sandra Lee, although Rachel usually cooks from scratch...... But, my money would be on Paula Deen, if she were to ever go against Rachel Ray:)"

sucks2bjudged replied: "They are both great cooks but my vote is for Rachel Ray"

Jo W replied: "Paula Deen; she can kick a**!!! And she does it with humor too; love her!"

How do you feel about Rachel Ray dog food? I am thinking about feeding my one year old american bulldog mix and my yorkie rachel ray dog food. Is it good dog food? What kind of food would you recommend for my dogs? I need to feed them something that taste good they are very picky.

Loves her Sealy replied: "It may be endorsed by the famous gourmet herself, but I think it's still food full of byproducts and fillers. May I suggest wellness or eagle pack? I feed my dog both and she's a very picky dog who loves it. Plus it's very good for her coat and her minor skin allergies."

Jenny replied: "I feed my dog her natural diet: raw meat with the bones. It's really what the dog evolved to eat. Dogs can't digest plant matter, so that's just a waste of money, and there's some reason to believe that grains are so bad for dogs that eating grains causes diabetes and dental problems, which contribute to heart disease. I learned how to do it right here: My dog eats chicken parts, pork, beef, turkey, liver & kidney, with frozen chicken feet from the old Polish market for snacks."

YouHave2BeKidding replied: "Since I have no idea who/what Rachel Ray is I have no idea if they know how to make a good dog food. Please list the ingrediants so we can tell you. Personally I would feed an established Premium dog food such as Merrick, Orijen, or Blue Buffalo, and not some new made up dog food (which I assume this rachel ray is) Here is a list of the top ten dog foods "

Robyn replied: "I wouldn't trust her food. go for orijen or evo, they both have tons of protein and are less likely to cause allergic reactions"

*Sombra* replied: "Rachel Ray's dog food IS more highly rated (http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com ... her food is 2 stars, I think) than several of the so-called "premium" brands (Iams, Eukanuba, Science Diet), BUT ... It's also more EXPENSIVE than a some of the 4- and 5-star brands on the same food-comparison site. "Picky" ... umm, that's because you've allowed them to be picky. Who's in charge here? YOU choose the food, and you feed ONLY that food ... the dog pretty quickly learns that if he doesn't eat it, he gets pretty hungry ... and guess what? He EATS it! I feed mine Canidae ... they are all absolutely healthy, the cost is reasonable, and the vet says, "Whatever you're feeding, keep feeding ... they look great.""

RoryVonCroix replied: "I've tried everything on my Chihuahua from Eukanuba and Iams to Science diet and the local Vet brand. anything I could find and all the foods gave him severe gas, loose stool or caused vomiting. It was getting difficult weening him off one food and putting him on the next. Finally, out of whim I bought Nutrish and it did the trick! His bowl movements are regular, he's strong, his coat is health and The vet even complimented on his Nice lean and muscular figure! Also,it is important to balance your dogs food intake (calories) With their output of energy! Have your dog eat and wait a few hours then go for a walk or run in the park or what ever fits into the schedule. Don't over feed ofcourse, use a measuring cup until you know what your dog can take and what it takes to burn off calories! This goes for every dog food, it's really all trial and error."

Rachel ray had a program, today, the 15th of november 2007, showing how to make a sandwich using some kinf of. My wife and I both saw her reciepe on food netwok and it was for a sandwich made with sauer kraut and other ingredients. Everyone on the food network and on Rachel Ray's network says there is no such reciepe. Why? I can be drunk and crazy, but when my wife wanted the reciepe, I know I' not!!! I hope the %^&*&(*&^%$(* food network goes off the air!

Joanne A. W replied: "Wrong person.....it was the pretty Italian girl. Everyday Italian. :o)"

pinegirl7 replied: "Was it for grilled kielbasa reubens with warm mustard sauerkraut? If so, this is probably it: From Rachel Ray's 30 minute meals show 4 servings 25 min 5 min prep 1 lb sack sauerkraut, drained 1 cup beer or apple cider 1/4 cup spicy brown mustard 1 1/4 lbs kielbasa (1 folded link) 1/8 cup butter, softened 8 slices marbled rye bread 8 slices swiss cheese 1/2 cup sweet red pepper relish Preheat griddle pan to medium-high heat. Heat small skillet over medium heat. Mix sauerkraut, beer or cider, and mustard in small skillet and simmer 10 minutes. Cut kielbasa into 4 portions and split sausage pieces in half, opening them up. Grill the sausages on hot griddle until crispy on both sides, about 7-8 minutes total. Wipe some of the grease off the griddle and drop heat to low. Lightly butter 1 side of each slice of bread. Build butter-side out sandwiches out of grilled kielbasa, sauerkraut, and 2 slices of cheese; spread the top of each sandwich with red pepper relish before setting in place. Grill the sandwich on griddle until crispy. Cut and serve."

Xero Sinko replied: "Is this the recipe?,,FOOD_9936_34869,00.html You can search on foodtv.com by ingredient, sauerkraut and then by sandwich and this recipe comes up...hope that helps!"

What did you think about the McCains on Rachel Ray yesterday? Oprah is the executive producer of the Rachel Ray show so if she really was acting biased then she wouldn't have approved of having the McCain's on Rachel Ray yesterday. Or am I wrong? What do you think?

lulu muffin replied: "Political candidates can make for good ratings. Oprah has yet to have McCain on her own show, but she has had the Obamas. I would say that she is a little biased due to this fact. In the 2000 elections, Oprah had Tipper Gore as a guest but not George or Laura Bush. I like the late night hosts because if they invite one candidate, they invite both, and they give each a fair opportunity to both speak and showcase their personalities."

What is a good recipe to use a box of rachel ray chicken stock-in-a-box? I have a box of Rachel Ray chicken stock in a box, in my cabinet. What is a quick and easy recipe to use it with.

Fog replied: "Chicken and Dumpling but use the bisquick recipe on the box it is really fluffy and yummy I make that and throw in some ground pepper/ peas/carrots w/ the chicken but I only use boneless all natural chicken I add some green beans and applesauce w/ it to complete the meal YUM"

What is the brand name of the Turkey stock that Rachel Ray uses? On Rachel Ray's show, she tends to always use a particular brand of turkey stock but never gives the name of it. Does anyone know the brand name?

Liz replied: "It's probably Price Chopper's generic brand, they sponsor her. Although if you don't live in New England or the Mid-Atlantic States, you won't find a Price Chopper."

Snackie replied: "Have you ever noticed that there are no brand names? Since the Food Network does not allow real brand name logos to appear or be mentioned on most of their shows, 30 Minute Meals has a graphic designer create faux labels for the food products."

candice h replied: "It's called kitchen basics"

What do you think of the website that is against Rachel Ray? I just say the E-True Story on Rachel Ray. It was really inspiring. Then it showed there is a woman who has a "Rachel Ray Sucks" website. One of the terms is that you must be "anti-Rachael". Aparently a lot of members go there. Would you waste your time on a website that's whole purpose is to hate someone you don't even know? They make fun of her show, her food, and her clothes. What kind of person designs such a website?

Joe A replied: "I think it stinks..."

east replied: "that sounds vaguely similar to something that happens here with a certain group of brothers."

Ashley C replied: "GREATEST IDEA EVER, I HATE THAT CHIPMUCK,"

amber a replied: "Someone with tooo much time on their hands!!"

henbean replied: "A very bored, hateful person makes that kind of website. I mean I don't really like her either but I wouldn't go out of my way to show it. Some people like to get all riled up I guess."

My Answers Suck replied: "im sure you can find hateful "anti-" sites for a lot of celebs EDIT: i dont think it has anything to do with jealousy. for whatever reason that they may dislike her (feel shes undeserving of her stardom, are annoyed with her idiosyncrasies), they take it to the next level because they totally revel in the hate itself. i think it is somewhat symptomatic of an individual with obsessive tendencies. its sort of like most people spurned by a friend or lover will get over it fine, but there are some who will not be able to let it go and try to make the other person's life a living hell. same type of people that can't just dislike rachel and leave it at that"

Ryan replied: ""Would you waste your time on a website that's whole purpose is to hate someone you don't even know?" no "What kind of person designs such a website?" The kind that's a bum, with a lot of time doing nothing and has nothing but angst."

LAFFATTAK12 replied: "soooooooooo funny but ide fer sure nevr do it"

shush replied: "
What kind of person designs such a website?
Hmmmm, a jealous person maybe? Or a person who has so much pent up hatred it needs a place to spew, a place where there will be no consequences (a coward)."

I Joe, Nick & Kevin Jonas replied: "thats so effed up rachel ray is amazing!"

rookgaroo replied: ""What kind of person designs such a website?" A jealous person. Some people hate to see others become successful, even if it is through hard work and talent. Because they don't have what it takes to achieve fame on their own, they'll try to make a name for themselves by taking down people who have worked to get where they are. Regardless of whether you like Rachael Ray (or Michael Moore or Tom Cruise or Britney Spears, etc.), the fact remains they got where they are by setting goals and working toward them. Rather than make that kind of effort, some people find it easier to just ridicule these people and make light of their accomplishments. It makes them feel better about their own empty and meaningless lives."

Stacey S. replied: "A website like that is a total load of crap and not worth anyone's(who is good enough) time. Unless you PERSONALLY know that person you shouldn't bash them. I personally don't know her, but what i do know Is that she seems cool, i like her shows... mostly the cooking ones are good."

are rachel ray treats good for dogs and kong ball question? i know that anything food wise you can get at a super market are not good for your dog. so does that include rachel ray's treats too? i thought all of our food is not good for dogs, so why is it ok to fill kong balls with peanut butter and squeeze cheese, then?

Terrier Lover replied: "Well, not all of our food is good for dogs. However, there are lots of foods that are great for dogs. I feed my dogs a raw food diet. Anyways, Rachel Rays treats/food is safe for dogs. As for Peanut butter in a kong ... The only bad thing I see about the peanut butter is MAYBE too much salt/sodium. I give my dogs peanut butter on celery sometimes ... my pit bull puppy loves this treat. The celery helps clean the teeth too :)"

Crys L replied: "I don't know about the Rachael Ray's treats, but I know that certain peanut butter can not be fed to dogs. Some breeds (I know australian shepards are prone to it) have trouble digesting peanut butter. The kong-formulated peanut butters and cheeses are "supposed" to be made specifically for dogs. What the real difference is, I'm not sure, since neither of my dogs get peanut butter."
